Riding is better by belt! The low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt is Priority's signature feature, eliminating grease and rust while offering smooth power transfer. Designed to handle torque, this belt won’t break or stain your clothes, making it ideal for daily rides.
Upgrading to a 720Wh battery from a 500Wh battery, means over 40% longer ride times compared to the previous Current model, so you can go farther between charges. The battery is removable for easy and safe on- or off-bike charging.
One of the most requested features over the Current, the new Current Plus has an ergonomically-placed, left-side thumb throttle, giving you the power for steep hills or rapid acceleration with ease.
The efficient, mid-drive motor now has optimized firmware for quicker acceleration and easy climbing at low speeds. With 140Nm of torque, you can easily keep up with traffic or power through all-day rides.
The advanced hydraulic disc brakes provide confident stopping power no matter the weather, and now feature a motor cut-off which turns off pedal assist while the brakes are engaged. This delivers safe braking when you need it.
The handlebars now offer a 17-degree backsweep and a 20mm rise, providing a natural grip for a more comfortable, upright riding position that enhances visibility in traffic. Geometry delivers a ride that you can feel comfortable in over long distances.
Ride comfortably on 650b x 50mm tires that absorb shocks and resist punctures, providing a smooth ride over rough city streets or uneven paths.
The light-sensing front light is mounted onto the handlebars, providing visibility in low-light conditions, durable fenders, a frame-mounted kickstand is stable for your Current Plus with commuter or touring bags, and flexible braze-on mounts for racks, cages, or battery extender (sold separately) .
Featuring 140Nm max torque, a powerful mid-drive motor with optimized firmware, an upgraded 720Wh battery, and your choice of an ultra-responsive Shimano or low-maintenance Enviolo hub, the Current Plus empowers daily commuters to dominate city streets and adventurers to conquer weekend rides.

You have questions. We have answers.
I see that the power is unmatched, but is the ride jerky?
No. It is important that the power in your e-bike gives you a feeling of greater confidence on the roads and control on your rides. One of the main benefits of the mid-drive motor is that The Current’s power aligns with your own natural pedaling motion- the tunable assist is applied in line with your effort. So whether you are set to a level 1 or 5 pedal assist, The Current is in tune with your movements. You pedal and The Current provides the power!
What is the warranty?
Priority Bicycles provides its bicycle frames and forks with a five (5) year warranty against material and workmanship defects. All components on the Current are backed by a two (2) year warranty against manufacturing defects. The battery is guaranteed for two years or 700 cycles, whichever comes first, to 70% charge. This warranty does not cover paint or decals and can be void if the bicycle was not professionally assembled, has been modified or has been subject to beyond normal wear and tear. This warranty does not cover return shipping to Priority, nor does it cover any labor involved in frame, fork or other component replacement. Product defects must be confirmed by either photograph or a professional bicycle mechanic. This warranty is valid only for original owners in the continental United States.
What is the difference between the Shimano and Enviolo hubs?
Great question! For an overview on the differences between the Shimano and Enviolo hub options, please watch this video.
What range should I expect with the battery?
Typically, in a class 1 (20mph max) setting, riders will get between 20 and 75 miles per charge. However, this can vary based on assistance level, weight of rider and gear, speed, elevation, temperature, tire pressure, head wind and terrain. For additional range please see our second battery range extender.
