NO RUST, NO GREASE
With a Gates Carbon Drive belt instead of a standard chain, there's no rust, no grease, and no routine maintenance to deal with. Strong enough for automotive application but specifically designed for the rigors of everyday cycling. Unchain your ride and free yourself from dirty hands, skipping chains, and greasy pant legs.
DUAL-CONTROL HUB MOTOR
The e-Coast is outfitted with a dual-control Priority 500-watt rear hub motor. The variable pedal assist cadence sensor AND twist throttle offers flexibility around how you engage the motor. It ships as a Class 2, 20 mph setting, but can increase to a Class 3, 28 mph setting (please note local laws). Five different pedal assist modes are available.
SLEEK BATTERY INTEGRATION
The Priority 500-watt motor is powered by a 576 watt-hour battery that's integrated into the rear rack, keeping the lines of The e-Coast super clean. The battery is easily removable and can be charged on or off the bike. The integrated rack is perfect for loading up all your essentials for a day at the beach, or wherever you plan to set sail.
UPRIGHT & COMFORTABLE
No one wants to ride with wrist or back pain! The e-Coast's frame geometry and adjustable stem keep you upright so you can cruise with comfort and confidence. Available in diamond (step-over) and step-through frame styles, The e-Coast is ready for all riders and rides—even at night with integrated front and rear lights.
CONFIDENT STOPPING POWER
Hydraulic disc brakes are super reliable, work in all weather conditions, can handle varied terrain with ease, and require very little maintenance. Paired with plush 3-inch wide tires that easily roll over bumps, sand, and gravel, it's always smooth sailing with The e-Coast.
RUST-RESISTANT FRAME
We modified our standard Coast frame significantly to accommodate the motor, battery, and 3 inch wide tires, and stiffened it for higher speed use. Not only is the frame strong, but it can withstand the salt, sand, and water that eat away at other beach cruisers. No rusty rides here!
SAFETY FIRST
Safety is our priority! The built-in lights feature a brake sensing function and the hydraulic disc brakes feature a motor cut-off function. So, when you grab the brakes, it signals the motor to shut off and the rear light gets brighter like it would on a car when you hit the brakes. Sailing at night? You'll be alright!

How does The e-Coast compare to your Current e-Bike?
The e-Coast is designed around a more leisurely riding experience than the Current, which means simplicity and comfort are more of a focus than outright performance. The Current uses a mid-drive motor and an internally-geared hub to power through hills and daily commutes. The e-Coast features a simple, single-speed drivetrain with a rear hub motor, so it's a breeze to ride and it gets excellent range on flat roads. The Current has an upright yet sporty riding position, while The e-Coast has a more laid-back riding position for comfortable cruising.
Why did you create The e-Coast?
Our award-winning Coast beach cruiser has been our most popular model since launch. It's truly the only cruiser designed for the beach with its rust-resistant frame and fork, rust/grease-free Gates Carbon Drive belt, and iconic styling. As we've rolled out more speeds over the years, we've had an increased demand from YOU for a motorized version. So, here it is! The e-Coast takes the best of our standard Coast and amplifies it with a powerful 500-watt motor, reinforced frame and fork, 3-inch wide tires, high-quality components, and enhanced comfort that's ready to set sail on day trips, weekend jaunts, dawn patrol, and family adventures.
What range should I expect from the battery?
We see a typical battery range of 20-60 miles. Range depends on the pedal assist level, rider and cargo weight, speed, elevation, temperature, tire pressure, head wind and terrain.
Is this a Class 1, 2 or 3 electric bike?
The e-Coast ships Class 2 with a max speed of 20 mph. Using the display, it can be re-programmed to Class 3 with a max speed of 28 mph. Please check your local regulations.
What should I expect in terms of water and rust-resistance?
All the electrical components use waterproof connectors, and are designed to hold up to rain and other environmental conditions you’ll find during normal riding. It is not recommended to fully submerge the bicycle. The frame, fork, handlebars, stem, seat post, rims, brake levers, and hub-shells are made of aluminum. The spokes, fender struts, and most of the hardware is made of stainless steel.
Can I ride The e-Coast off-road?
The e-Coast features 3-inch wide tires to soak up uneven terrain comfortably, and they can provide some “float” on hard-packed sand. However, the tires are not quite wide enough to ride on deep, soft sand. In addition, The e-Coast is not designed to be a mountain bike, so aggressive trail riding is not recommended.
Can the standard Coast be upgraded to The e-Coast?
No. The e-Coast was designed specifically to handle the power and weight of its motor and battery, and the standard Coast was not.
What is the warranty?
Priority Bicycles provides its bicycle frames and forks with a five (5) year warranty against material and workmanship defects. All components on The e-Coast are backed by a two (2) year warranty against manufacturing defects. The battery is guaranteed for two years or 700 cycles, whichever comes first, to 70% charge. This warranty does not cover paint or decals and can be void if the bicycle was not professionally assembled, has been modified or has been subject to beyond normal wear and tear. This warranty does not cover return shipping to Priority, nor does it cover any labor involved in frame, fork or other component replacement. Product defects must be confirmed by either photograph or a professional bicycle mechanic. This warranty is valid only for original owners in the continental United States.
